I hate to say it but I had a very unproductive morning.
I was pretty much going to skip the blog and go back to bed, but … I’ve been going steady every day now for a month. It would just be a shame if I stopped now.
Here’s a few picks from our mothers day trip to visit my Mom and brother Tim.
I think I just got myself overwhelmed. I got up at 3:00 a.m. and came out to work like usual, but instead of actually working, I just started thinking about everything I need to do, and all the stuff I still need to make, and all the puppets … and before I new it, it was 5:40 and I hadn’t accomplished a darn thing.
Tomorrow will be a better day. I’ve just got to focus on the task at hand, finish it, and then go on to the next.
The reality is, this puppet is almost done. The other one only needs some minor revamping and it’ll be ready to go. The first set is 99% done and sitting in my shed. I’m literally like a month away from filming the first scene.
I’m just too close to let anything stop me.

Go Jeff! You're doing a great job.
How tall is this puppet now? He looks huge on the photo. About 12 - 14 inches?
WOW, Dude - if you have managed to ever be productive at 3am, then I think the rest of us should hang our heads in shame. Good on you for sticking to the schedule - half the battle is just showing up.

Thanks Dean, the puppet is 15 1/2" inches tall. I didn't intent to make them so big, but when I built the first armature it kind of got away from me.
Thanks for the comment Mina, it seems like the only time I have left. I don't want to be the kind of Dad that just comes home and ignores everybody, so I'm stuck with the 3:00 a.m. thing for the time being.
