I’ve been dreading this post, since I new I wasn't making much progress this morning.

I spent most of my time gluing together trim for the cape. It's made of a strip paper, a piece of green gardening wire running down the center and t-shirt fabric glued on the back.

It proved to be a tedious process and I'm just now starting to attach it to the cape.

Darkstrider - Link mentioned that my puppet has ‘crazy eyes’ yesterday in the comments … and yeah, I agree, way too intense ... he defiantly needs some lids and brows.

The eyebrows I’ve done already, though they need some updating and painting. I dug this older picture up to show what they look like.

As far as lids go, I’m planning on using soft clay and just re-sculpting as they need to move.

Thanks for the comments Darkstrider, and also Vincent - Link glad to see your still hanging around dude.

p.s. ... Darkstrider, my glue gun is a mini-version, and it takes smaller sticks too. I love it cause I feel like I can be a little more accurate with it.

Jeff,

Just saw the video. Wow! Incredible!

Don't feel bad about it being short. As the guys on Mythbusters say it's a "proof of concept". You wanted to see how the boots and feet looked and worked, they looked fine, so you had success! Yes it took all night but bottom line, it worked. On to the next part.

Keep it up, you're doing amazing work on this.

Hey, thanks for answering my comments (from yesterday's post) here - it feels like I'm guest-starring on your blog today!

Plus this way other people can see your response, where-as comments on one day's post probably go unseen as soon as you make the next post (which is the next day).

And yes - I agree, the video looks great!!! Absolute proof of concept - the tests and practice animations will grow longer and more polished and start to become mini-films in themselves, and then grow into th real thing.
