Here’s what I came up with to hook the cloak in the front.

I ended up going a bit more low tech than I originally intended. I’m planning on making more buckles for his sword belt, so I didn’t want to overload him with one design element.

I want to say thanks for all the comments and suggestions from yesterday, I appreciate them all!

Next, I've started painting the cape (I’m picturing it as a deep red) … more tomorrow.

Jeff,

Glad you came up with a cloak hook idea. Sometimes less is more, especially if you're putting buckles on the sword. I don't know if you're leaving all that wire on the cape closure but you could just put a heavy duty looking button where the two parts meet too. That idea just came to me looking at where the wires make an 'x' at the closure point. Just a thought.

I can't wait to see the deep red cape when you're painting it so dark right now.

Keep it going!

Looks amazing! Now I see the wisdom of your flexible clay coating on fabric for shaping.

The button idea is a good one Rich, and I was thinking something real similar before I went with the wire. I might still work on it, I want to see what it looks like painted first. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks Shelley
